Good and bad looks. I’m still impressed by how solid things like the doors are but then I look in the windshield and see there no nut to screw into. Any ideas on a fix for this?

The way I have seen this fixed was to make a nut plate. Then use a hole saw to open a big enough hole to insert the nut plate and weld it in place. Then take the hole saw slug and weld it back in place.. but kyou have to remove and replace the wiper wiring if you have that .

Drive train complete

New front and rear drive shafts installed. New spicer yoke on transfer case to accept the front one. Next it’s up top to get the engine running.

I hate stickers. I had the rear one extended and ordered the front through Wild horses. It a Tom Wood shaft. I’ve got Wood.

Life has kept me away from this project for too long. I had to have the inside of the bed and cab sprayed twice to get it right. I have the steering and dash back in so tomorrow the seats. I have fired it up and it’s running fairly good for sitting 15 years. New plugs and wires may smooth it out.
It’s about ready to back on the market.

I finally addressed the wiring and plumbing on this 289. The PO claims it is a crate motor with about 5-10,000 miles on it. I changed the plugs and wires, added some sea foam just for grins and vroom vroom. I just barely have to hit the key and it’s off and running. Worth the wait. I tried loading the video but no luck.

Just some update shots. This thing has surprising acceleration. I put some cheap seats in and put the tailgate back on. I am amazed how straight my body guy got it with just a board and a sledgehammer.

It’s for sale!

I’ve finally received a clear title on Chief. I have addressed all the basics and now it’s time for someone to personalize it to their liking. This is a very solid Bronco. I can provide a butt load of pictures. It needs new tires, drivers door needs some body work and it needs new door glass. The brakes need to be bled better and an upgrade to the old points in the distributor. It’s a driver otherwise. I am going to throw this one out there at $20,000.
I’m going to be on the road from January 2nd through March but my son will be around to show it or aid in pick up or shipping.

moved to the for sale thread

I am going to bring this thread to a close since I have put Chief up for sale in the "for sale" forum.

I wouldn’t have let that one go either. Nice job on the floor pans too!

Thanks, I thought they came out pretty good for my first attempt. Not a lot of people jumping on this at the current price. I'm maybe a little high but if I have to keep it, oh well.

Sold local!

Couldn’t be a better outcome. Chief was sold today to a young man just 30 minutes away. Easy pick up and I will have a chance to see the progress over time.

Off to new home

Hated to see it go but he will have fun with this one. That Ram truck will probably struggle pulling it. The owner is a Ford man but his Mopar friend wanted to experience being close to a Bronco😁.
