Sounds like fun. Wish it wasn't a 2-3 day drive to stop by. I still need to order one of your books. Do you have a link for ordering.

Todd, why do I always miss the good meetings? Sounds like a good time. By the way, as a measure of the Bronco popularity, how would you say the book sales are going? Better than expected? McLaughlin said that the Bronco book he did was the only automotive book he ever published that he sold enough to actually make royalties on!

Special thanks to all my southern CA brothers and sisters that showed up for the event! It was incredibly humbling to pull up Sat. morning and see 8-10 trucks already lined up out front for the cars and coffee. Special thanks to Garberz and Dusty for putting the word out to the gang. It was great to see everyone and catch up again.

I'll post a few more pics when I get a chance - just got home last week from a week of vacation so I'm still playing catch-up.

It really was sweet that Jay showed up. When he arrived, he stood in the doorway (I didn't know he was there) and said in a loud voice, "Does anyone around here know where I can get a Bronco history book?" Then he stepped inside and I looked to my left and saw him and thought, "Holy cr@p, it's Jay Leno". He knows how to work a crowd - came over and said hello, picked up the book, and said, "let's take some pictures so you can put them on Facebook or whatever". Talked a little bit about his Bronco but he mostly wanted to talk about how awesome his new Tesla Plaid is. He was there for maybe 20-30 minutes and bought some car magazines. Chatted with a lot of people that were there. Super nice guy.

Mars - I'm pleased with the book sales but I have no idea how many are usually sold. We're going into the 3rd printing right now, which will be another 1000 books. I think the store sold 20-25 more on Saturday. We've sold about 5,000 books so far, I think. I have made a little bit on royalties - I can take the kids out for ice cream and maybe buy a Bronco part or two :). The satisfaction comes from knowing that I actually wrote a book and the neat opportunities I've had since it has been released.

Congratulations Todd, That had to be real cool meeting Jay Leno. That is a great book for sure, love mine. Are you coming up here to Michigan for the Dream Cruise in a couple weeks? They are having the Bronco lot again.
