More interior pics

More pics of the interior showing the trashed carpet, the houndstooth upholstery, etc. The door panels are barely ok, and the covers above the rear wheel wells are barely ok. The carpet is all totally awful and the front seats are ripped and torn and would need a rebuild. No rear seat.

Pics of the rust that I have been able to find...

Ok, so there was some more rust than I originally thought, but really not much I don't think. Initially, I thought the floor boards were all totally solid. But, with a little more poking around, there is a hole in the driver's floor near where the highbeam switch is. Looking from underneath, the "upper floor" not the bottom floor seems a bit spongy - I don't think it is rotted out, but realistically, it probably needs to be cut out and replaced. Also, in the engine compartment on the driver's side back by the fire wall, there is a rusting spot. And then, under the hood hinge area it looks to be getting some rust with some more significant area at the passenger side edge. I think I captured these in the pictures, but let me know if you want more of any certain areas.

Engine compartment and engine...

Ok, so not really sure what else to take pictures of here. The engine is great with no leaks and running really well. But if you want a pic of anything specific, let me know and I will post them.

Link to all photos

https://photos.app.goo.gl/j4iPyp8rfLQ9zV1AA

This is the link to my shared folder with all of the photos. These are from when before I bought it up until now. Just for some history if anyone is interested in what it looked like over time. Can't see much more than the basic clean up we did, since most of the time and effort has been spent getting it running and driving.

Update: I am thinking about putting this up for sale, now. It is in really good shape mechanically now, and I just don't think my dad and I want to keep putting more money and time into this. I feel that it is a good option to drive around and have fun with it as is, or it is a great candidate for a restoration. I'd say for it to be truly safe around town, it needs new shocks and new tires. But everything else works - wipers, lights, horn, high beams, blinkers, radio, etc. It's got a brand new transmission, and the engine starts right up, first time, every time. Sounds great, no smoke, no leaks. All the glass is good. It's missing side mirrors, though. The interior is a problem - there is no back seat and the front seats have rotted foam and need to be reupholstered. It'll need a carpet kit and the dash is badly cracked. But it has all the knobs, switches, and things. All the doors open and close easily and are super tight and well lined up. No rot anywhere - there are a couple of small rust holes as described earlier in the post.

Anyway, the info earlier in this post covers a lot of all those details and there are pictures as well. I am trying to get an idea of how to price this. It is obviously not a rig worth $30k, but it is also not a complete loss worth $7k. I was thinking $15k would be a fair number - not shorting myself and not looking to gouge anyone. I'd welcome thoughts and opinions on this (I won't be offended with any candid feedback). I will answer questions to the best of my ability and can take additional pictures as needed, too. Clean title, but it is not currently registered. Thanks in advance for any help.

There is rot including the inner fenders, back of door posts, cowl area, rear body seamline, etc and that is before you really start to dig which ends up showing more. The floors are rotted and are rusted through. It is going to need a full restoration to be really nice but I agree it is a very good starting point.
