Because of the vapor canister provision on the lower piece? What differed on the '69 and '70? I'm curious now. ;)

1969 was black, the snorkel was different, and faced back towards the firewall corner.
1970 was blue, and the same as what you have, but it had a nipple by the carb where
yours is flat for the driver side valve cover to vent to...

Good info. Thanks. I remember that ‘70 one now. I thought the black rear facing ones were just on the 289s.

1969 was black, the snorkel was different, and faced back towards the firewall corner.
1970 was blue, and the same as what you have, but it had a nipple by the carb where

Bump it up. Still have this air cleaner. '71-'72 specifically, but good for any V8 with factory carb.
