Do you (or anyone) know of a local retailer were i can get bottled 75/25 gas for my MIG135? Not sure what size bottle but would mount on a small welding cart. Guess would be about a 2-3' x 4-6" bottle. Would rather buy a bottle and fill when needed then rent. Sorry for the Hi-jack.
Thanks
Call here and ask for Todd, tell him Pete sent you. Have not been in for a while but my old company did a lot of business with him and I bought my hot wrench and tanks as well as my Miller 135 and bottle from him.

so I had some time today to make up some of the small patch panels needed. did I mention how much I love my cnc plasma cutting machine.
this is the first vehicle restoration that I have undertaken since I've had it, and this way is so much easier and faster than dealing with hand shears and cut off wheels, especially when working with 18 and 16 gauge sheet.
I used some old dirty srap pieces I had lying around. here are a couple of pictures of the final product. first how they look out of the plasma, then after a short trip in the glass bead cabinet, and finally just a quick mock up. just have to do a little final trimming and punch some holes for some spot welds and then put the puzzle back together.

fully automated. It is a retro fit table utilizing Dynatorch controls, servo motors and software. a Hypertherm 1650 provides the plasma.

Wow, you could almost build an EB from scratch. I'll take two.

How many sq.ft. does it take up?

The cutting area is 5' x 13' plus figure a couple feet around that and also the exhaust ducting and blower.
the plasma torch will severe 1-1/4" thick steel plate. I can get a nice cut edge up to 1/2" thick after that you start to get some noticeable angled kerf action going on. also have an O/A torch head that can be swapped on, but I never use it as it's more of a pain and we dont need it for the things we do, But it will cut up to 9 inches thick.

That is a pretty sweet unit. We have a Laser shop in Danvers do all our cut-outs and watching those are pretty amazing. The Plasma must be just plain ol' fun to watch and hear.

It's alot of fun until it's time to clean out the tray. it's taken me a while to master it and fine tune it to be able to make some pretty nice accurate cuts. it will never cut as nice as a laser machine but it also doesn't cost a small fortune to own.

He has a big one that has it's own room built with it. Bought it used and cost as much as a small house.

Gotta love a repair that looks factory fresh when done.
