"Chief" rebuild story

I didn't mean to buy this one but it was too good a price for such a rust free California transplant. I had it flipped for a good profit but the buyer was concerned about a title issue from California to Missouri. He was justified because it has been about 4 months and I am just now getting that about wrapped up. While I was waiting I decided that this one needs to stay in the family.
I am certainly not trying to impress anybody with my skills but someone suggested I capture this so here we go. I have lots of pictures first to validate the condition as I got it.
Here we go.
Oh yea, the previous owner is a native American who goes by Chief so, Chief it is.

It is amazing the difference in a California rig and a mid west rig when it comes to rust!!

Are those armstrong tires? That is a pretty solid old ride, how long has it been in MO looks like awhile according to that sticker.

The PO drove it here in 2004. Parked it due to health in 2005.

I decided to start from the back and work forward. 2.5 inch WH suspension and replaced ALL bushings. New brake lines, MC and cylinders all around. I’ll upgrade to power/front discs later.

The only panel replacement needed were the floor pans. My first time at this but I think it worked out well. I’m having the bed and front floors sprayed next week.

Just another representation of how little rust this has. I folded back the windshield, pulled off the weatherstripping and zero rust. I have this taped off to shoot it with primer.
