The end is in sight...

This 3+ year project is nearing the end.

I know every nut, bolt, sweat, tears, blood, and dollar that has went in this Bronco. She isn't perfection or a trailer queen but she is mine. :)

The first test drive will be this week, then off to the exhaust shop, and finally to the sign shop to add the black stripes.

The next pictures after these will be with it complete...

Thanks for the information from this site and all the kind comments!!

Done?

Yesterday was the day... Test drive went well until I ran out of gas.%)

After getting gas and then actually filling up with gas I was back on the road.

Getting new exhaust tomorrow, 4/5. I'll post pics of that later this week.

I have done all the work on this Bronco. I have a guy putting the vinyl stripes on it today and I'm so stressed/nervous I'm about to be sick...

Pictures to come... (of the Bronco, not me being sick)

Truck looks great! It never gets old when you drive it for the first time after a resto. The black stripes will really make the truck.

Drum Roll Please

The journey is coming to a close. The stripes are on and the exhaust is done, it's time to drive and enjoy this Bronco. I enjoyed bringing her back to life and all that I have learned along the way...

So I don't think it ever really "ends" when you own a Bronco.

With the nice weather yesterday I managed to get the spare tire mounted and put the new cover on...

Ready to see everyone at Super Celebration in a few weeks!!!

Bronco looks Great!

Did you have a Stripe Kit installed or did a local shop make them?

I purchased the kit from Broncitis.

I did however pay a local vinyl guy to install them, I was not going to chance messing them up trying to align the pieces up.

Gotcha. I would not risk that either.

My local trim shop will make mine. They do all kinds of graphics and stripes for boats and other projects.

Does it really ever end?

I don't think working on a Bronco really ever "ends". There are always some small tweaks here and there.

This weekend I installed power brakes back on the Bronco, I ordered the kit from Jeff's and it bolted right up. Whenever the weather clears up I'll drive it to check the linkage lengths. Side note: I am going to put the vacuum hose back factory correct (rubber hose, to metal tube, back to rubber), this was just to check it out.

Per my Marti report my Bronco had factory dual tone horns, so this weekend I also installed the dual horns back on the Bronco. :)
