Finished with the metal work of the tub; now it is ready for the blasting and finishing...which the owner and a buddy is doing.

As i stated before, great work.

Also, how long are the "extension" on that frame? I have a frame that the PO hacked up to add power steering and was thinking of doing something like this with it.

Hey BigC, they are 18" plus the 3/8" plate that is tapped with the 7/16" nut welded inside. We can bolt the body to the "jig" and the extensions on the ends of the frame fasten to the rotisserie so we can rotate the body. The main purpose for the extensions is so that the tub can be accessed for repairs/blasting/finishing and the frame is out of the way.

NEXT PROJECT! I think they are getting worse!

Pulled in this '77 from the WOODS! ........I think maybe we should have just left it there!:p:p

Notice: Inside the jamb area of the tailgate, up a couple of inches from the hinge, a piece of flat rubber. This insulates the bottom of the check straps from rattling. A well known Bronco Brother and I was discussing these a while ago and he said he had never seen them. My copper Explorer still had them was why I knew about them, and then here they are on this ragged out '77! They are still on both sides!!! (The tailgate is about to rust and fall off, but the rare rubbers are still there!)

A few more pics: check out the mud on the frame! just packed! A previous owner told me a story about this Bronco:

He used the Bronco mainly for deer hunting and he used hounds. One day, there was four hunters in the Bronco and their guns, and the little light jade Bronco was on hot pursuit of the hounds. There was a light snow on the ground and as the hunting party sped around a stiff curve on the woods road, the Bronco look a tumble; off the road , through the ditch, and then on it's side....almost completely on its top.

Everyone clamored out, looking at the weapons, and dusting each other off from all the dried mud flying around inside, and checking everything out! The four of them muscled the truck back on the wheels, and with some spinning and pushing, they got the Bronco back in the road. The driver and his co-pilot couldn't convience the other two to hop in again, so they sped off to intercept the deer. He shyly stated "We went on and killed the deer, loaded it up and went back and picked up the other guys!":D:D

If only these machines could talk!

My low mileage 76 Special Decor had the rubber pads on the tailgate and on the front window frames on both doors at the spot where the upper and lower weather strip came together.

This ruff old Bronco still had those on the doors also. The rubber looked like pretty much the same thing as the tailgate pieces....thickness and width. This Bronco had more than 2" of dried mud under the parchment mat!! also rifle brass buried in the mud!

Simple, the day you need a "wide bad O2 sensor" to dial in your Holley, it will be a "cold day in Hell" and therefore the price of eggs here and in China will skyrocket!!!!%)%)

That's funny right there!!!! "You Ain't Right NGABronco"!!!! LOL!;D;D

I can't remember the code, but it is '77 light jade, and this is the original paint ..(and rust)! This Bronco is not for a client, it is one that we are building.....er....just for us....no plans. We may keep or may sell. We bought a really nice, clean 77 last year that had been rolled and we are building this body to go on that chassis. I'll post the paint code a little later.

Undecided on the color???? Its going to be uncut and the original color for the vin (the chassis) is hot ginger. However, I really like the light jade!
