AAARRRRrrrrggggggggg!!!! The final test run before I brought my baby home went @$#_&($##+?&_$!!!! Up. Mechanic heard a very loud rattle coming from the engine bay on the return trip of a 10 mile run about 1/2 mile from the garage. He shut it off and towed it back. Worked with him t-shooting and found a bent pushrod in the #2 cylinder. Pulled the intake manifold and all looked ok, even scoped the cylinder with a camera. Put the intake back on and put in 2 new pushrods,. Did a compression test on #2 and it was a big fat goose egg!! All other cylinders were about 130psi. Called ATK and they have us pulling the engine and sending it back for replacement. So #()@__$ close!!!!! Engine had 18 miles and 2 hrs of run time tuning the fitech..

Aaaaghh! That hurts! So frustrating when you are this close, I would have screamed out loud a few choice words. Hope it’s fixed soon for you.

I'm in the process of installing the same family cage. Yours looks great, btw. I'm currently replacing my rusted out kick panels. Would you have any pics of where the cage mounts to the floor? I'm especially interested in what you did in the rear by the tailgate.
Thanks.

Had a dilemma on what to do with the seatbelts after I had forgot to weld the bung into the rollbar. I came up with this idea of using split collar tub clamps drilled a hole through it and welded a heim bung then powder coated them to match the roll bar.

Finished install of the new ATK crate engine today! All cylinders have compression between 125 & 132. Drove the Bronco home and put it in the garage for the first time! Still running a little rough, but will play with the timing and fitech. Had to drive it through rush hour traffic and hit every red light to bring it home! Fitech showing temp @168, IR showing 174, gauge showing @ 210 , IR on the sensor showing 188. Oil pressure is at 60

nice build and bronco. Please forgive the 100 questions,,, I Like the DC rear quarters, thats a good look (and those tires). Any reason you decided to go that route? I see your in florida, are you fishing or in the dunes some? Floatation 'm thinking?,,, as those tires would seem to do better? What is your tire and wheel combo? I went with a 16in wheel on 265's, on mine, but its uncut. Thinking about this DC fender setup to get a little more usability for fishing etc. Did you play around with the location of the rear fender any? I know I hear people talking about "moving" the rear axle an 1" to compensate for fender/tire clearance and seems like one could make that adjustment with the new fender? Great looking bronco.

The Bronco fenders and quarters were cut at the dealership before my uncle brought it home so I liked the look, but when I saw the DC quarter panels I thought the look was a nice compromise between LUBR and flared. That is the only real reason I went with those. I probably won't be taking it in the dunes for a while, it is more of a cruiser right now. The wheel and tire combo is something I was definitely going after with 15 in rims and 32 tires. I was looking for a bit of a squat look. I have no lift other than a one inch body lift so I think the original axle position is fine for my use. I think if I were using it more off-road I would add a suspension lift and move the axle back as it could be a bit tight.
