Very cool, love the elk. I know you don't want to do much but you may want to consider a coat of linseed oil to keep the patina the way it is
Linseed oil? Please elaborate. I am in the middle of something similar to this.

Hey Okie! That's weird that you ask!! You must have Bronco ESP!;D Buttercup is actually having heart surgery! Buttercup is getting a new engine! It's at the machine shop now. The 170 was weak, had a couple of anti-foulers on the plugs, low oil pressure, and smoking a bit. I am building the engine, new clutch, exhaust system, fuel system, and brakes. I want it so I can drive it to a cruise in on a hot summer night!;D
Last year, I repaired the rear fender lip that was modified and powder coated a set of '66 wheels, then mounted a new set of little diggers!
Buttercup is the oldest Bronco that resides here at the assisted Bronco living! U13FL735752. U13FL735755 is about 15 miles from here too, which I thought was cool.
Bitch'n, the deer ran off, but if you look closely, he left a track!!;D
Something else about Buttercup is the 5 digit DSO which means it was a Special Order? Okie, do you have more info on that? DSO is 21200. 21 is Atlanta, what's the 200 code mean?
You did good job on that rear fender! Looks great!
Thanks Tyler.
I actually used original Bronco cut-outs from years ago and cut just the edge of the "skirt" that was trimmed off by the PO. The metal work was a piece of cake.
The challenge was matching the 55 years of Springtime Yellow, rust, mud, UV fade, rock chips and scratches. Fortunately, I was able to develop a color formula that we could mix on our paint mix system and matched it with fading, rust and chips. I color sanded the complete quarter panel first with 1500 paper just to clean the surface and remove some of the rust stains from the paint. It really turned out OK.
Buttercup still has the original windshield and it is very clean except for the delamination! I hate to change it, but the foggy borders kinda bothers me a bit....
You will probably recognize these pics from a photo shoot for the 2020 calendar.
Without a window sticker or some knowledge from the original owner it's pretty much impossible to know. If it were a special paint, that part of the warranty plate would be blank.
