Thanks yakelys69! I plan to shoot the Raptor liner this week on the interior. Its starting to look like I envisioned it when I bought the old rust bucket home;)

Yep I shot the interior too. And I LIKE IT. I think I will probably put a rubber type mat over the front area and leave the rest Raptor liner.
I made a mistake when I ordered the Raptor and got a box of "Tintable" instead of black . So I had to re-order and now I have some "Tintable" to play with. I have been strongly considering using the Raptor liner as an accent on the high parts of the body that are prone to scratches ( rockers , grill ect..) . I have also bolted the body to the frame for the LAST time , Hopefully !

I thought I'd post again . This is the Raptor liner on the front inner fenders and the engine compartment. Looking forward to getting the motor in that engine bay. But ..alas..that is a ways away

Skinning

Well I have the epoxy primer on the tub and moved my attention to the doors.
(NOT in great shape , but , salvageable ?)
Anyway, I decided to re-skin my doors. Then I had to decide if I would weld them or glue them . After a lot of searching opinions on the topic I decided to weld it because " Better the Devil you know" theory works for me. This was the first time I have done this.
Along the way I replace the glass runs as well as some coat hanger mechanism rods . It also turns out the drivers door latch would not hold tight so I replaced that too.
I had some sound deadener pads left from another job , so I thought... What the "L" it can't hurt to add it to the doors . ;)

How 'bout that-I had no idea the door could be separated in such fashion-Never saw anyone do it before. -Sure would make re-doing the window mechanisms easier than trying to fix both arms & hands in the panel opening- Thanks JB...

last of the polyester primer

Thanks Bonefizz I hoped to get it done this summer but...I'm pretty sure it's gonna be spring now ?:?
This is where I am now. This is the last of the polyester primer (hopefully). After the finish sanding I am going to shoot acrylic urethane single stage paint.
I am going with Rally Red from Restoration Shop.

I'm see-in RED

The first panels have Rally Red on them . A few RUNS and a fly in the paint :-[ . Oh well, as I paint more of the truck, I'm sure I will have more to sand and buff out.

Before I paint the box, I still have to cut the hole for the gas in the side of the box. Do any of you know of a template for this or do I have to go for it with just a tape measure... For some reason this scares the crap outa me ?:?

Maybe too much RED ?

They are setting outside now and the sun does make them POP , Tenacious-B . I have used a lot of black bed liner under the truck and inside so I think I will use it on the hood to kill glare and probably some on the sides for accent. That ought to tone down some of that red
