75 and under no smog requirement...Thats why we pay the big bucks for pre 75 cars....

Yes they're now exempt. Before the exemption there were plenty of automatic fails when they look under the hood. Non stock ignition or carb. Must have stock air cleaner with all the correct hoses. Then there's headers. Back before the exemption nobody was making smog legal headers for a bronco. That still may be true today. I had the joy of smogging my 72 every couple years before the exemption. That was fun with a 351w in it.
