I'm getting ready to upgrade my audio. I'll probably do 5.25" or 6.5" round speakers.

I'd rather not cut into the door panels so it looks like the two options are A) 2 footwell speaker pods / 2 speakers in front-rear panels / sub in the back right rear or B) 2 speakers in front-rear panels / 2 speakers in the back rear panels / no sub (or sub in stand-alone box).

It looks like the more expensive resto-mods are doing the second option.

Thoughts?

Have you thought about putting some wakeboard style speakers on the roll bar? I have a set of kicker 6.5s and they sound pretty good.

Mine has a Polk Audio speaker pod at each corner of the family style roll bar and a amp/sub-woofer hidden under rear seat. Sounds great!
Just another option.

I have 6.5 JBL in kick panels, 6.5 in the front of the rear panels just behind the front seat and standalone 10in Kicker Solo Baric vented sub with 2000 watt amp and it sounds great. I will try to post pics but the fiberglass speaker kick panels from Bronco Hut are awesome, look custom and keep the sounds in the cabin

Thank you. This is the direction I'm heading with the four 6.5s. I'd like to get a shallow sub in one of the back rear panels. I'd definitely like to see some pics!

Hooked up a MTX Audio Bluetooth soundbar into my family cage. Works really well. And waterproof.
