351C 2V Headers For Early Bronco

For those of you that have the 351C 2V (70-74) in their Early Bronco, what Headers or Factory Manifolds did you install without modification or clearance issues?

Sanderson has the FC3 and FC4 Shorties that look good and may work. Is one better than the other? Their adaptors for the 2V heads will need to be installed too.

There are a number of 2V Factory Manifolds from 351C, 351M and 400 that may work as well, although I would prefer Headers.

Any other options?

Thanks

I installed a 351C 4V in my 76 Bronco using the Sanderson headers. Bought them years ago, and don't remember which (FC3 or FC4) one right now. Look at the dimensions of each on their web sight.
Search shows the FC3 being used. I believe I went with the FC3 to clear the clutch linkage. Will have to look.

You might want to use heavy duty motor mounts. The ones that raise the engine a little for clearance on the right side.

Others have recommended the Sanderson FC3 as well. With the 2V heads I will need to use their Flange Adaptors.

On the driver's side the FC3s have an exhaust exit straight down. The FC4 angles back more.

Thank you.

I am actually building this Bronco now, finally.

I installed the Sanderson FC3 Headers for my Cleveland Motor this past weekend.

The Driver's side angles in towards the Oil Pan. At first I thought I did not like the fit, but upon further inspection it does provide more room for Clutch linkage and Brake Line clearance. So far so good.

The Passenger side header sets just above the frame and then angles down slightly. Frame clearance is great, however, the rear of the Inner Fender needed to be trimmed for the header not to touch. Try to have this mocked up prior to paint. I did not.

Overall these headers fit very well with no Frame Modification as others have done. I also installed the Sanderson Copper Gaskets.

Next is going to the exhaust shop for the complete exhaust. I'll have a 2-into-1 exhaust installed with 2 1/2" primary pipes into a Gibson muffler with a 3" outlet.

I'll post pictures and a sound video when complete.

It looks like you are going in the right direction. Its about identical to my specs on Rattler.

Great to see that there are a few more Cleveland Broncos on here.

I will probably do the same with my 71 Boxwood Green Cleveland Bronco as well.

Fordfan - your Rattler is one of my favorite builds. Nice truck.

X2. If I could swap Broncos with someone on here it would be the Rattler. Great color, stance, and most of all - love me some 335 series under the hood!

Thanks Fellows. I'm old school and I can't get turned on by a new powerplant in a Bronco. Vintage repower in a Bronco is a different story. The 335 series engines are amazing air pumps and after all, that's what an engine is, right?

One mechanic was observing my Rattler while it was sitting idling and he said, "Man! you have a heck of a vacuum leak somewhere!" After a bit, he couldn't believe the amount of air flowing through the intake just at idle....That was the whistling he heard.;D;D;D

This I know... The "C" at WOT sucks in some large volumes of air.... add fuel to that mixture and the right spark.. it won't stop until you past 8K..
