Houston, we have lift off!

First lift on the new 2-post hoist. Instructions said two persons a few hours to install. They lied.

I had help unloading, lifting up the columns and setting the cross bar. Other than that I did most of it by myself. It took probably 10 hours but spread out over several days. I had to fab a bracket to move the power unit to the side of the column for easier access. Also the instructions were not updated from the previous model and took some interpretation for some changes they had made.

Very cool...nice lift. My brother and I just installed an Olympic 12000# 2-post lift and it was definitely a bit of work to make it happen. The forklift was definitely our friend.

Congrats, and I'm jealous as well. Rolling around on the ground at my age is not fun.

Hopefully the install time is the only lie the manufacturer made.

I'm very happy with the lift. Seems to be very well made. I had one when I lived in Texas and they are a lifesaver! They are really not very expensive. This one was right at $2000 plus shipping. I drove to Dallas and picked it up myself and saved the shipping cost.

GARY GOOD FINE . Glad you got a new lift.
Do you know what the top measurement is.
I'd bought a used one from the local Ford house . But the man poured my slab wrong & mine would not fit into my shop.
Mine has about 12' 3'' maybe but I needed 12'.6''

Pa, this lift is 11’9”. You can also set it at 11’3”. My ceiling is 12’. The “issue” I have is the garage door track is too low and the Bronco top hits the door when the door is open and the the Bronco is at the highest lift height. So if I need to lift it to the max height the garage door needs to be closed.

I’m south of Denver about 200 miles. I drove from Cuchara to DFW to get the lift. The warehouse is actually in Irving.
