• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

Maybe not the best place to try and sell this, but this is my home for all things Bronco...
I loaded some random pictures of the build, if you need sometime specific let me know.

Doug

Seattle DSO
Selling Dealership: HARRIS FORD INC., LYNNWOOD WA 98036
"S" paint code - "Poppy Red"
Build date - 11/21/1966
Sell date - 7/28/67
(I have a Marti report)

I don't know which owner I am, the previous owner had it for 15 years and all his kids learned to drive the 3 on the tree in it. It obviously spent some time in the Pacific Northwest, as the weather had taken their toll on both floor boards, which still had a "sign patch" on both sides.

It was a frame off restoration, frame was cleaned, wirewheeled, holes patched and/or factory welds redone. Frame has been powder coated.
4-turn power steering box rebuilt by Straightline steering in San Jose, Ca. Most steering components were cleaned up/painted or replaced with new. Reinstalled existing modified steering column and steering shaft.
New WH's 2.5" front coils/shocks, new WH's 3.5" shocks in the rear.
Hellwig Products front and rear sway bar kit was installed by previous owner and then reinstalled by me after frame was powder coated.
Extended WH's E brake cables, new Stainless steel brake lines and extended braided hoses. Astro van Hydroboost conversion, with new or Reman components.
New exhaust by King Muffler, with JBA SS headers, 17" Flowmaster - 3 chamber muffler.
Conversion to electric bronco wipers with ford delay switch/box
New Bronco AAW rewire

The original 289 was long gone and replaced with a 1985 vintage 5.0 roller motor. That used as much oil as it leaked out. That was replaced with...
Rebuilt 1996 Explorer EFI 5.0 motor, .20 over, GT40 cast iron heads. Currently with 1,700 miles on it. EFI harness by EFI Guy. ECU reflash by EFI Guy.

- It was converted to a NV-3550 5-speed approximately 2 years before I bought it. I was told that the transfer case was rebuilt at that time. Given the condition, I had no reason not to believe him that the components were serviced. Both units had the fluids drained and refilled with fresh. 3550 has Chrysler Spec oil installed. Modern Driveline provided new clutch and pressure plate and TO bearing prior to reassembling driveline.

- The Previous owner also replaced the D30 with a 1976 D44, with factory Ford disc brakes. At that time he converted the rear axle to 3:50 gears as well, as it was the easiest way to go. I have rebuilt both housings, fresh seals, bearings, brakes, new 4:11 gear sets - with Auburn Posi for D44, #AG 5420109. 9" with new Ford gears, master install kit and True trac locker.

- Brand new drive shafts from Southbay Driveline in San Jose

- Procar Elite seats were previously installed, they were cleaned and reinstalled. Same for the Tuffy center consul. New WH's 3 point front seat belts. Kenwood stereo, with Amp, 6x9 speakers.
Body work and Paint were done by Dave Virga Customs in Fair Oaks, CA. (11/19)
Both Floors pans were replaced by me
I replaced the Driver's door hinge post
Hood replaced as original was cracked in 3 places and poorly patched.
Tailgate was replaced by previous owner
The Passenger door was re-skinned by Dave Virga, said would require too much filler
Rocker replaced Passenger side by Dave Virga, rust hole in bottom.
Driver's fender replaced by Dave Virga, too much filler already
Inner fender patched by Dave Virga
I applied the Poppy red tinted Raptor liner in the tub.
Single hoop roll bar - made by Dave Virga, installed by me.
Dash and door cards stripped by me, multiple holes filled by me, painted Parchment at a local shop I use.
The front bumper was gone, I replaced it with a cut down (3.5" per side) later model bumper.

I have many hours into this Bronco Frame off rebuild. Everything has been gone through and rebuilt/replaced as needed… I have the correct factory rear bench seat in Parchment not installed, I have the Factory am Radio not installed after dash repair. It lights up when powered but does not produce sound.
I am sure that I have left something off the list and feel free to ask questions. My work is well known for quality, I don't cut corners.

Wow that turned out great Doug. That's a really nice setup. I'm sold on the Explorer swap. They fit so nicely and the turn key qualities of the EFI are awesome. Good luck with the sale.

What a beautiful rig and nice driver! Some of the guys that spend ridiculous $$ over on BaT should check out your rig(s) instead!

I agree with BAT. This is a great forum but you open up a larger audience for the higher dollar builds there. Good luck I bet it is a great driver

I think your price is fair.
Bring a Trailer might be your best place to sell. You my find two or more knowledgeable buyers who will pay your price. Good luck
