1976 Bronco Ranger with original Ginger Glow paint with 302 V8 and c4 automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes and front disc brakes. The Bronco runs and drives well. I purchased this Bronco in August 2018 from a female owner who had owned it since 1987 and it had only left the garage for short drives in the past 30+ years. Since purchasing the Bronco I have replaced both rear wheel bearings and rebuilt the rear drum brakes with the Wild Horses Kit, which came with everything including backing plates and drums. I recently replaced the old master cylinder with a new Toms Broncos power brake booster, master cylinder, lines and proportioning valve. I also rebuilt the carb and a replaced a few of the rear fill fuel hoses. I tore out the interior and replaced the steering wheel, carpet, door panels, arm rests, dash pad, rear quarter panels and repainted the roll bar. I ordered a full tan Ranger seat cover set from Bronco Hut over 9 months ago and still have not received them (very frustrating)...If I get a close offer I will send you the seat covers when they arrive. I have new front driver seat foam and 4 new fender flares that will go with the Bronco.
OK for the question everyone wants to know "What about rust???" It does not have any. Please look at the pictures and ask for any that you would like to see. It appears that the Bronco was sprayed with undercoating at the dealership. You can see in many pictures that the undercoating is peeling in places and under that, you can seen the nice Ginger Glow Paint. Aprons, floors, kick panels, inner and outer rockers, door posts, under the doors, tailgate and window frame all look great. You can see there is some discoloration in the driver floor pan. This is from brake fluid that had leaked back into the floor at some point. Also you will see some discoloration on the interior wheel wheels. This is from some sort of glue someone used to glue down the carpet. This Bronco sits on stock suspension with very good condition BFG 31x10.5 tires. When I purchased the Bronco it had some newer style Bronco rims that I did not care for. I purchased stock wheels and hubcaps to go original. I also replaced the front push bar with the stock bumperettes. The Bronco has spent it's whole life in California. I scraped off the many years of tags on the plates and you can see all the way back to 1977, which would have been the first year it was registered. It does pass California smog. At some point the hood may have been repainted. I am basing this on the missing hood stripe and some cracking in the paint.
I did not think I would be selling this, but my wife and I recently purchased a completely original uncut 1973 Ranger that I think may be the one that stays with me until I'm gone. The wife says that one vehicle has to go. With that said, I also have a 1987 911 Targa for sale for 32K. I am hoping the Porsche sells quicker as I would rather keep both Broncos. I will make a better deal on the Porsche, but since I promised her that I would put the Bronco up for sale as well, here it is. If you are sensing that I do not want to sell the Bronco at this point, then you are correct. I made a promise and if it sell then it sells. If the Bronco sells out of state, I will be keeping my California Blue Plates for my new Bronco. Give me a call or text with any questions 209-585-7268.
