Im partial to taller sidewalls on my trucks, 18's would be cool IMO. Love that parts pile. That Body is one real solid bit of steel, your truck is going to be great.

Go with the 18's or even 17's. I too am partial to the taller sidewall and think that the larger rims look out of place on the classic 4x4 like the Bronco. Personally, I am sticking with 15's on my truck but if I had to switch I wouldn't go any bigger than what would be needed to clear a tie rod over conversion or bigger disk brakes.

Aside from that I love the look of a nice fat tire vs. a big rim! Just my .02 cents. ;D

Your truck looks like it is gonna be really nice by the way! Can't wait to see it completed. Keep the pics coming.

Simple solution for you would obviously be to buy two different sets of wheels, duh!

Here's buldozer's 20" rims - I think he's running 38" tires though.

Looking at that, I think 18s may look better on mine - I'm not a big fan of chrome, so maybe that's what's throwing me. I'm going to end up photoshopping them on and seeing what the consensus is... LOL

I am not a big fan of 20's on an EB. Just doesnt look proportionate.... remids me of a stomper a little... (for those of you who know/remember what stompers were)

My vote is for 17's! Don't forget about the money that you will save on tires! Seems to grow exponentially for every inch in rim size you go up! %)

i just think 20's on this bodystyle make it look like a matchbox bronco.

I'm going with 18s. :)

Here's a pic of the body of a special jig used for blasting. It attaches to all stock body mount locations to prevent flexing. :)

Good choice on the 18" rims over 20". I have 20's and wish, I had gone with 18" instead. Nice sandblast rig, glad to see no shortage of equipment to work with. Your truck gonna be sweet, I can't wait to see it done.

That jig works great. Can pick up a painted body only touching the body mount areas. And the excavator just seems like the easy way to move it around.

Frame is back - everything freshly powdercoated. Here's a shot they took while mocking up the rear shock mounts on the rear axle.

Ryan that is looking real nice! Had a chance to see your original frame which is up here in NH now with Mike. That is a nice set up as well, but this build is is wild!

Axles are back together and refinished - 4.88 air lockers front and rear.

The suspension is mounted up - steering box goes in early this week so we can get a Trailproof steering setup ordered.

More pics - suspension is done, brake lines and fuel lines are mounted. The attention to detail (stainless hardware, custom spacer, etc) is awesome - the guys at buildAbronco.com are right on track with it.

Drivetrain starts next week - my built 347 EFI engine with a new Monster 4R70W auto and an Atlas transfer case.

gonna be sweet!!!! what valving did you choose for your shocks ?

All the shock advice was really helpful - I went 170/60 up front and 150/50 out back. I love the finish on them - they look every bit as good as the Fox shocks on my Raptor.

Another week, more progress.

Engine is in - the intake seal is being redone; there was some concern about too little sealant used on the back (my fault). New 4R70W Monster transmission is visible in one of the pictures.

Love the stainless details with the leaf springs and brake lines. Gotta withstand the salt air out on the beach! :)

Getting closer!
