Well I went and picked up this 67 today from another member (the blue one). I am using the frame and he is taking the body back to hopefully salvage enough to possibly build a trail rig. When I sold the 70 last week I picked up a 76 parts truck that has power steering on it, disc brakes and a brake booster (but not much else). I also have another set of axles from a 76 that I have been sitting on as well. Yesterday I picked up the NV3550, I have a 97 Mountaineer that has been patiently waiting to donate its 5 liter to this build too. Tasker has a 3.5 inch lift, so I have everything but a few conversion parts to put a complete chassis together. The body will come later. Have all the parts for rear disc out of a 79 Lincoln but still may go with a vendors set up, and I have the hydroboost unit waiting to go in.

going to have to change the title since it is no longer a mutt. The body vin matches the frame and the title.

For obvious reasons,,, I'll be watching this build thread. Pete, if yesterday's activities were any indication, you most definitely are on a mission!

GOOD LUCK!!

fatboy,
can't wait to follow your thread. I'm sure you have enough member friends to help along when needed but would like to offer my help as well. Im a town over from you, would like the chance to meet a few of you as well as getting some experience on restoring my own EB.

Well if you wanna race i know i'll be the looser in this one. My priority is to get the garage finished before i tear into it too bad. Maybe i'll start a thread tonight with some pics.

Well I got a little further in tearing down the donor to get to the frame, but not by much. I had to cut one of the hinges on the passenger door. The bolts broke off inside the door and the door cannot get past the bolts so I cut the hinge instead of destroying the door skin. I also pulled off the windshield frame and found some rot there. trying to lighten the load as much as possible before pulling off the tub. Then I spent a good amount of time cleaning the garage since I think I will be spending a lot of time out there this winter. ;)

I need to tear down at least one of the 44's I have as well and get the housing up there for a cut and turn.

Dave I got the pm and will certainly keep you in the loop. If Mike decides to pass on the tub (not sure how salvageable it is, have seen worse I guess) I will fire up my buddies plasma cutter and remove it in pieces. Make some bite size chunks that can easily be thrown into the truck for disposition.

Well Mike and I reviewed the tub tonight and it is more than he wants to tackle. I am really torn on where to go with this as I could easily spend the money rebuilding this that would get me to one of Bronco Designs tubs. Going to continue the tear down and re-assess as I go.

Sometimes I wish I never brought that picture over to this site! ;D

The tub is the blue one in the earlier photos. It definately needs inner fender work, cowl work, front floors and rockers. Lots of rust in all the seams but until I tear into it I do not know how bad the seams will be. Pretty sure I can use the front fenders and the grill so I should not be to bad on the price I paid. Plus I do get the title and pretty solid 67 doors. Will snap some photos and get them up.
