Serpentine kit

I'm putting together a Blueprint 347. It came with the timing cover for the standard rotation water pump.
I'm looking for a kit to install serpentine belts on it. It will have power steering, but no A/C. The billet and chrome isn't important to me. Black would be fine.

Explorer serp front dress is best. aftermarket kits has too too much attachments. Explorer serp has 3 sections alt bracket and PS brackets are independent of each other. waterpump can be replaced without removing other brackets.

Explorer is the way to go. You can just run a different belt and skip the A/C easy enough.

Bite the bullet and get the explorer front cover and water pump. Be a smart move while doing your engine swap, and have 1 belt instead of 2. My guess is the parts you are looking for would be as much as getting what you need from sandman, cost wise

Stop.

You are working way too hard to keep an inferior system just because you have a couple of parts. The Explorer setup has way too many wins.

X whatever, input the explorer setup on my 73 and then almost immediately switched my other bronco. It’s a good upgrade that there isn’t another substitute for.

I'm confused, and obviously others too, about the correct rotation.
There a difference. You can't effectively use a standard timing cover with a reverse water pump without loss of flow.
I plan to use the old timing cover with a fuel pump flange.
I'm looking for a serpentine conversion for my old school timing cover. It takes two belts to work.

If you’re absolutely wanting to keep a mech. fuel pump, then the Explorer serp will be out for you. That system only works with the Explorer timing cover. And besides not having the fuel pump boss, you’re correct about the reverse rotation of the water pump not properly working with a standard rotation cover.

Thanks. I was just asking about a serpentine conversion for my old school timing cover and got all this other response.?:?

So, to run any single belt serpentine and a carb you have to run an electric pump with a pressure regulator? Or is this just for the explorer setup?

Well, the response you got should be helpful. I looked into this and doing what you want to do costs about triple what a explorer conversion costs and you have 2 belts as opposed to 1.
And the response was better than what you gave me when I was asking about this quite a while back, you told me there was no need, just stick with what Ford did, gen 1 alternator and v belts.
Good luck, but I will say again, explorer is a top notch upgrade, even with electric fuel pump it’s still cheaper than the aftermarket stuff that is sold that is still iffy with radiator clearance.

Of all the choices rebuilding an EB, that front dress was one of the hardest. I almost dropped close to $4k I think going all fancy billet aluminum. Damn I am glad I did not.
Cheapest most bomb proof, explorer hands down, all the crossover hoses be darned. Besides, not to many drive with out a hood to look at that dress.

CVF has a 2 belt serp. kit...
I have a single belt serp from CVF. I would of use the explorer kit but the Aussie heads that I used didn't have the correct bolt holes. I also have the explorer kit on the motor next to it.

So, where do I go to get a complete Explorer front dress? Does it use the same balancer?

It uses a different balancer but the Explorer balancer can be re-balanced by Damper Dudes if necessary.

Sanndmann3 on here sells the Explorer kits if you don't want to go to the junkyard and pull them yourself.
