Electronics mounting question

Finally working on wiring. Have Painless kit from Wild Horse which will mount in glove box. My problem is I have the Baumann controller for the 4R70W, a module for the Dakota digital dash cluster and a third module for my keyless push button start.

There doesn’t seem like a good spot for any with the in dash Vintage AC. My creative (and possible horrible) idea is I have removed the driver side vent box am going with the black ABS storage box. What if I reinforce that and then mount the modules on the sides?

Good points:
1. No drilling new holes in body.
2. Most wiring will be in under cowl rather than on new dash.

Risks:
Box integrity is important.

What am I missing?

Thanks, Keith

Any extra room!
The Dakota Digital controller can mount to the back of the instrument cluster sometimes. Not sure in your case though, if there is more ducting that will go there?

Will you have a roll cage? If so you might need to angle the parking brake inward toward the driver's legs. If that's the case, then there's more room on the kick panel next to the release lever that might work too.
How thick is the transmission controller?

Paul
