I was just looking at my vin tag and noticed something strange, it may be nothing.
So the truck is a September budd build nothing out of the normal with the actual vin number.
Looking at the rest of the tag I noticed the body code didn't match the 3 listed on roadsteru13,
196 bench
696 driver only
796 buckets
Mine is stamped 798?
When disassembling the truck it appeared to have a bulkhead bolted in from the factory. It's a u15 and had holes drilled for the hard top but didn't have a top when I got it.
The floorpans were so rotted I couldn't tell if it ever had a back seat bolted in and the front was mangled with a bench seat from a 70s dodge welded in. No way of telling what seats it had in it.
Is this a miss print on the vin tag? Or I have been told there was an option for a wagon with a bulkhead and no back seat so you could use it as a cargo carrier. Could that be what I have?
I didn't see anything searching on here, roadsteru13 or bronco Ohio.
