wow what a rare odd duck. I thought the sixes were gone by 1974. I would be checking the vin and frame stamps an cross reference the door jam sticker and the glove box tag.

I've got one im redoing. 6cyl with 3 speed, marti report showed almost zero options except for ranger package. Ironically, mine is also burnt orange. I ended up doing a 302/c4 swap into it. Just came out of paint!

That Marti is saying that out of the total of all 1974 Broncos, 5940 were Rangers and 1689 out of all produced were 6 cylinders. It’s impossible to tell how many Rangers were 6 cylinders based on those numbers. At least you know there were 311 Bold Orange Rangers.

from what I gather if you got the elite marti report they will break it all down.

Looks nice but I would question the 14,000 original miles. That front driver seat has to have way more than that on it. Here's my 74 Ranger front seat with 60,000 miles.

Yea I questioned that, when they brought it up in the 80s all it has done since then is taken a boat from the garage put it in the water taken it out and back into the garage every day till a few years ago so that’s a lot of in and out every day. and now its been sitting in garage and gets taken around the yard a couple times a year. The passenger seat and back seat feel and look brand new

Remove the rubber floor mats and look for heel wear on the carpet pad. That will be another clue.
