X2 on the np435. 4.11 gears work great for the street, .

Yup...35s and that gear.tranny combo have kept my DD on the road since '93 and over 200K miles (!). I've run 35 TAs and 35 'mud tires' of various brands over the years ..most recently Pro Comp Mud Terrains (I don't recommend them BTW..not the best of the breed....)

BTW..the same rig gets temporarily shod with 38.5 TSL's when its time to hit any serious trails...and I'm still not 'unhappy' with the 4.10 gearing, thanks to the granny in the 435. Could use more gear, but...

or stay 4.10 if you do the highway thing and get lower transfer case gear for wheeling

This is w hat i did during my rebuild process. 435/klune/205, its only a goliath at 2.73 ( I really wanted a 4.0 david but found a killer deal on the combo) none the less it puts me at 150.1 crawl. Not to mention the 4.11's with 38's puts me at 2400 rpms at 65 mph.

One of mine is a daily driver on 35's with 4:11 gears, and stock C4. It cruises down the interstate at 65 with no problem. Tires are BFG Mud Terrains.

I had 4.11's, T-18 (similar 4th gear to 435) and 35's and mine was screaming at 55 mph. Haven't had it up to 55 with my 4.56's yet to see how they do. But, to answer your question though, 35's were fine for everyday driving.
