66 Grill Transition line from Body Color to White

I've tired to search, and zoom in on low rez pictures with out luck, so I will ask the group. So as the title suggests, where exactly is the transition from body color to white on a 66 grill. All of the pictures I have found it seems as everyone does it like our luber, where it is at the 1st sharp metal transition (the maroon picture which is a 69).

So now on to the 66, ours is pretty original with a respray a long time ago. They didn't bother to do the white, but I can see the factory transition line in one or 2 places under the respray. It seems like it should be at my second picture where the yellow tape it (inside the tape closer to the slats. The black line is for reference, that I drew in, is where the place I see most trucks have it.

Can anyone post some detail shots of this, on an original 66?

Hopefully these are close enough to see.

Great pix, wish the plate was off, but pulled them down at native resolution, and zoomed in. Very helpful The line is even further in than I thought, along the straight sections at the slats. Ours is a sept 65 build also, so according to your sig, same month as yours even. Very helpful thanks for posting. Looks like I have some remasking to do.

If it's not too much trouble, be fantastic, and a great reference.

Thank you very much.

Seeing your plate there explains the holes I needed to fill in my grill shell! I could not figure out what went there!

^^^ They're not the originals, these were purchased off a Mustang site. The one's that I replaced I'm pretty sure were the first set of replacements though. They didn't say Ford, and were tea colored lol.

Ah, but still look good. I'm gonna have to get some of those.

Edit, found some, and ordered a pair.
