I don't think it's called Indian Blanket in the Broncos at least. That's a bit more ornate and more like you'd find in the old aftermarket bench seat covers.
Is this an Explorer model? Looks like the Sport/Explorer material and it had it's own name.

Another common name is "Houndstooth" but this is not that either.
Search for Bronco Explorer (or even Ranger) seat fabric maybe. Too bad there are Explorer vehicles too, which will add to the search results most likely.

Commonly called Indian Blanket, but Ford called it Special Random Striped Cloth.
Found in the Explorer models...

I got my Ginger Explorer Indian Blanket, Interior set from Bronco Hut. I got lucky as they had it in stock. 72 Explorer, if I remember correctly.

Now, getting Ginger Door panels and Rear Quarters took over 4 months.

I contacted Bronco Hut and they are checking to see if they can get this material. I'll keep you posted.

I found out that SMS has the correct "Indian Blanket" material for 72" Explorer Sport. (sample A) Sample B is for an Explorer.

So a “72 Explorer with the sport package had different seat covers from a regular Explorer?

The 72 Explorer only came with the Sport Package (one year only) and with this interior. The other material shown on crawln68’s paper is from a 73 orange on orange explorer.
