I am wanting this exact set up. What size aluminum tubing, which 2 silicone couplers, and what air filter bolts to the explorer TB?

I need to measure tomorrow. I think the TB is like 3.75" and the MAF is like 3.5".

Went and figured it all out....
TB is 3", so I ordered a 3" hose coupler to go from TB to an aluminum 45 degree elbow.
But the MAF is 3.25", so I ordered a reducer coupler that adapts from the 3" aluminum tube to the 3.25" MAF.

Then ordered an adapter that allows you to clamp a 3.5" cone filter on.

You figured it out I see... Sorry I didn't see this post sooner. Doug.

#VPE-2774 silicon coupler/reducer, #VPE-2835 silicon coupler/reducer ,#AIS-2-005-45 3.5" aluminum air inlet tube with a 45* bend from Summit.

Blue filter is obsolete from Amsoil, any dry filter will work. #RU-3130 from K&N will give you the sizing.

ACT grommet #MTM 42330 from O'Reilly's. I doubled up the material on the elbow so the grommet would fit better.

So you went 3.5" for your aluminum.

I was just gonna stay the same size as my 3" TB, but I guess 3.5" may flow better and definitely looks better.
