• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

1966 Ford Bronco For Sale: $29,900

Purchased, driven for 4 hours, then completely disassembled! This truck was meant to be a major rehab project from the very beginning with no expense spared. I have a ridiculously extensive photo album to prove the depth of the work.

Frame/Engine/Chassis:
1. Black Powder Coating: entire frame, both axle housings, all spring mounts, etc;
2. Freshened EFI 5.0 from Lincoln Town Car (1987)
3. Heavy Rebuilt AOD transmission with slightly higher stall torque convertor (Mack’s Transmission, Enid, OK)
4. ECM, injectors, coated headers from 5.0 Mustang GT
5. Match and flow ported heads
6. James Duff 3.5” deluxe lift with shock hoops and twin rear shocks and 11 leaf rear springs
7. New polyurethane bushings throughout chassis
8. Custom exhaust, 2x2.5” pipes into Flowmaster 50 series, with one 3” tailpipe
9. 2 inch custom lower roll cage/body lift (2x4” steel tubing welded across body underside along each pair of body mounts, then tied into custom family cage for 360 degree safety)
10. Brand new 4 core radiator
11. Remote mount transmission cooler
12. Brand new 23 gallon fuel tank
13. Brand new 3G hi-amp alternator
14. Power steering, power brakes
15. New Warn lockout hubs
16. Advance Adapters AOD to Dana 20 transfer case coupler
17. Custom Twin Stick shifter
18. Lokar AOD floor shifter
19. Tube Prerunner bumpers front and rear, with swing out spare tire carrier. Powder coated dark gray to accent Pewter color.
20. 5 each American Eagle 589 wheels with nearly new ProComp Xterrain 35x12.5x15 tires (mains and spare)
21. New seals throughout Ford 9” rear and Dana 30 front axles.
22. Uninstalled 4.88 gears for both axles, with uninstalled Loc-Rite for the Dana 30 (I was going to wheel the Dana 30 until it broke, then go for a Dana 44. I never got there!)
23. Custom Woody’s front double Cardan driveshaft
24. Custom 2026 DOM alloy steering system with heim joints. Tough and much more wear proof than OE Bronco system.
25. Custom drop pitman arm for correct steering geometry
26. Ford front disc brake conversion (done per the age old recipe). Freshened up drum rears.
27. Brand new Centech Early Bronco Wiring harness.
28. Summit Racing driving lights mounted to front prerunner bumper.
29. Brand new Hi-Lift jack also mounted to front prerunner bumper. Would have to find a new home if you procured a winch.
30. Brand new halogen headlights—MUCH brighter!

Body/Roll Cage/Paint
1. Every bit of rust REMOVED and replaced with new sheet metal: rockers, floor pans, door posts, front fenders, inner fenders, tailgate lower, bed floor
2. Extremely custom roll cage hand built by Nathan Shearon, a retired oil field welder and rockcrawling enthusiast in Enid OK. This is the most AMAZING cage I have EVER seen. Powder coated gray to match bumpers and tied into the underbody roll cage system (see point #9 above).
3. Entire underside, engine compartment and inner tub coated with tintable bedliner tinted to match exterior Light Pewter Metallic paint
4. Custom dash with added transmission temp and tach
5. Pioneer AM/FM/CD mounted high in cage in custom brackets, very clean look up and out of the way. Front and rear speakers mounted out of the way in aluminum brackets.
6. Front buckets from Ford Probe in gray cloth, rear Bestop fold/tumble set in gray
7. New seatbelts throughout
8. Brand new Bestop black soft top with tinted zip-out windows. What a sweet top! Would highly recommend Bestop!
9. Painted to match James Duff 4” Fiberglass flares
10. Custom Jeep fuel filler cap inset-gets asked about all the time!
11. Desireable 1966 removable door frames—so no door frames during topless cruising!
12. Custom large brake pedal fabricated from Chevy truck.

Things that need completion (are cars like this EVER complete?)
1. Since I drive only in nice weather (has NOT seen snow, or hardly rain), I have not purchased or installed aftermarket wiper motors. Planned the Wild Horses kit, would be super easy install with wiring already in place.
2. Emergency brake floor lever installed, but mechanism to hook up to cables (installed already) has not been hooked up. Need to get some parts and craft a solution, or install the old floor pedal shifter.
3. Have purchased brand new total tub floormat kit, and a roll of heat/sound insulation for the inner cab. This will tighten up the driving experience a whole lot, and make this think like a monster 4x4 Lexus!

That thing is B-E-A-UTIFUL!! I had a 75 with a built 351w, and that same exhaust set up. It makes a very nice sound! Great job!
