Anybody running hydro bumps up front?

Welded a riser bracket to my front axle as part of a TRO upgrade and it looks like crowding the space where the pass. side bump stop was. Considering changing to hydro bumps and looking for others experience. Did some forum searches but didn't find too much so far.
Please post up any experience and pics would be awesome as well.
Thanks.

I have the Bilstein air bumps up front. I mounted them with Camburg Engineering mounts to the outside of the frame and they contact the top of my CAGE arms. Works very well but they do make a clunking sound when they hit the arms.

I have Kong’s stops in King cans. I also have them hitting my Cage arms behind the axle. Work good but do make noise

Can you post some pics. I make contact with my riser at full stuff and need to address it too. I was planning on putting them exactly where you described. Did you reinforce the frame any? Would you do anything different?

I am using the Light Racing / SPC 3" JounceShocks mounted inside the coils on the front and outboard the rear coils. I modified their "flex mount" to be compatible with the factory spring buckets and modified the dome target to work in the lower coil mount. I love having the 3" models. You can really soak up the impacts. I can honestly say I have not hard bottom'd this truck. I scared the hell out of my mom when she was visiting. We were on some forest roads and I hit a pretty good dip at 40-50mph. She asked if I was going to slow down and I just hammered it through. Her comment, "That wasn't bad at all."

I have a set of Fox hydrobumps and mounts for a newer Tacoma that I may never install. I assume the mounts could be modified. Bought used, if any interest, PM me,

I like the idea of mounting inside the coils but wonder how accessible they are and how much adjusting is needed to get things dialed in...
Thanks for the posts so far, keep them coming. :)

Accessing requires removing the coil. Not convenient but no need to remove often. The rebound adjustment can be accessed without removing the JounceShock. The factory setting works for 99.9% of users.

Side question regarding these, where are you getting the nitrogen fill to charge these?

Some I have looked at come pressurized, but i my mind that would make it difficult to mount correctly.

They are pre-charged. You specify pressure at the time of order. 40 psi is standard for 1:1 motion ratios, like solid axle applications. IFS setups that have 2:1 or 3:1 motion ratios might have 80-150psi charge pressure.

Not at all. The hardest part for some people is visualizing their suspension path and making sure the bump stops are lined up square near end of travel when maximum load is applied. I just took the springs out and lowered the suspension until weight was resting on the bump stops, then measured the remaining up-travel and checked for clearances.

Awesome info, many thanks. Need to get this upgrade.
