and no body lift? A cousin runs a 2.5 with a 1 inch body lift and 33's just fine. Not sure if I should lift the body or not for clearance. (No, I won't be off roading this that much, beyond trails.)
Yep , I bought the 69 that way , still is that way. I had rubbing on the front fenderflares at almost steering lock.
Just trimmed it up a bit , no prob .....
Lemme look for some pics ....
Thats what I run on my 73. I do flex it up all the time I have gotten a small amount of tire rub on the rear inner fenderwell at full flex with the current rear springs didnt have any issues with the first set of springs I ran.
If all your fenders are cut you dont even need a lift to run 33's especailly if your street only. But the lift does help and looks better.
well, i am going to that set up, i have 33s on a stock ride height now, but you dont need the 1 inch body lift. that BL can be an advantage when working under the truck like on the trans or the transfer case. or if you need some extra clearence under the hood.

I have 33's on mine, cut, no lift, but have a dreadful amount of negative rake. I could use an inch of leveling... I have a PTO winch hanging off my front end, and no top to weigh down the back.
Stay with an 8" rim. I broke 3 out of 4 fiberglass flares with a 2 1/2 SL with 33s on 10" rims. When I went to 8" rims I only rubbed on the wheel wells. This was years ago and I eventually went to a 3 1/2 SL, massaged the wheel wells with a hammer, and added bump stops to help cure things at full compression. In your situation, simple bump stops should work if tire rubbing is a problem.
