I will be leaving TX on 3-18, west bound I-10 to San Bernardino CA. I will be there picking up parts and dropping others off then heading to Vegas on 3-25. The race is 3-27-28, we will be returning right after. If anyone needs anything taken either way and I have the room let me know, it's free.
Looks like I will get the chance to come to the Az Stampede

This may be a dumb question, but who covers the Mint 400 on TV? I remember watching this stuff as a kid, but have not seen it recently covered on TV. Maybe, I am not looking hard enough. I remember my Dad and Uncles watching years ago. Does Speed channel cover it?

Chuck, on your way you should swing down to San Felipe for the Score San Felipe 250, run the Bronco in that then head up to the Mint 400. Gotta get those points for Score, especially if you are doing the 1000.

best of luck to you chuck. i hope you have a smooth day. that's a rough old track, i doubt it's changed much through the years. bring extra airfilters, you'll need them. it's a dusty sob.

drbronco i don't think there's tv coverage.

Last year was the first time they had the Mint 400 in a long time. So I don't think it was on TV but maybe this year. We were there but overheated at the start line and didn't get to race at all. We hope to do a lot better this time:). Last year the race was south of Vegas but this year it will be north of Vegas, I am told the same coarse as in the old days. Should be a lot of fun and a great shakedown run for the 1k. The 250 seems like a lot of effort to go all the way to Mexico for a 250 mile race, about the same effort as the 1k. If we still have a racer after the Mint we plan to race the Texas races 1 in Eric OK and the other in Marblefalls TX. They are about 200 miles each and close by.

Thanks guys, we are getting excited around here. The racer is in CA. the down side it is running not so good. Here is what it is doing. sometimes with you push the throttle it goes great, sometimes it doesn't for a bit then picks up. Sort of like a hisitation but some times it lasts for ~10 sec. or more.
Cobra EFI 351w fuel pressure is 40 they changed the TPS and the TFI. Any ideas?

Chuck, I hope you got your racer sorted out for the 400 . Tech is downtown on "Glitter Gulch" like the old 400 and I've heard the start/finish is at the Indian fireworks exit off I-15 .If I can offer any help while here in Vegas feel free to PM me for my number.
