Carburator base plate question ??

The base plate on my carb is junk...And nobody here can get one new...so the boneyard seems the only option...My question is : will a 77 carburator assembly fit a 74 ?...I think there were some differences...I might be wrong...I have the rebuilt kit ready to go so I might as well rebuilt the whole thing on my 77 parts truck and transplant it on the 74...I have the stock 2V...TIA...<br><br>Jeff

::) ::) ::) Mite find one at a part's store napa ect or then the junk yard any early 302/289/351WorC 2v will work and if that dosnt work Jag's sells them new but there about 40.00 :D :D :D Bill 8) ::) :p

Thanks guys...I didn't think about Carquest...I just called them but unfortunatly, it's not available in Canada...I'll have to special order it...Looks like the 77 assembly will get a new life...<br><br>Jeff
