Holy Cow! I've heard about Waynes collection and seen some of his Bajas but I had no idea it was like that. Absolutely incredible! So crazy he's only been into the Stroppe broncos for 10 years! When people ask what I'd do if I won the lottery, I will just show them this video. Haha
I sold Wayne the Sportsman Special that was in the video. I knew he had a nice collection of 4x4’s, but had no idea about his other collections. Super impressive and he’s a great guy to boot.. Liked seeing his Toyotas as well. I’m a fan and just recently purchased one.
I haven’t seen the Coffee Walk clip yet, but saw his Instagram teaser. I was able to walk that collection over a year ago thanks to @BajaBroncos introduction. The indoor shooting range was icing on the cake…lots of goodies to drool over on that property! Shout out to Wayne for his hospitality!!
I learned to know Wayne a few years ago through Andrew (@BajaBronco) as well, and he has become a friend in the intervening years. I know he has quite a number of friends now in the Bronco community. Very nice guy and extremely generous with sharing his collection - that is a big deal for him.
Although, after all these years of being involved in vehicles of all types, you’d think he’d start pronouncing Stroppe (strop) correctly.
I think he probably thinks of Steve Strope and his cool creations and it just stuck.
Although for many years I have heard plenty of people pronounce Bill Stroppe as “Strope“ no matter how many times they may have heard it correctly.
THats a fun video for sure. Looks like they had a great time. The Baja Bronco that they talk about the side trim and having a bulkhead in, is the one that I drove to the top of Five Fingers or Truck hill at Hollister hills with Dirt Donk and several others watching, maybe in 1998? or 1999.
Yes, STROPPE pronunciation = rhymes with chop, drop, stop, crop , but heck he's an enthusiast for sure.
