Drummond Island Michigan Off Road Weekend

Just want to float this out there and get some feedback. I am planning to head to Drummond Island in the upper peninsula for a weekend of trail riding and off roading. For those that have never been there, I recommend checking out some youtube videos or check out the links I have attached. There is an off road park and state trials on the Island. There is something for everyone. There is also great fishing and camping on the island. Some of the prettiest and scenic trails in the state. The date will be from June 11th-14th 2015. The reason for the early check is due to the commitment of a couple days off work to make this trip. To get there you drive over the mighty Mac and head east to Detour. From there you have to take the ferry to get to the island. I will be camping but there are several hotels and cabins to rent. There is some fun rock climbing, shale beaches, water crossings and mud (for those who enjoy cleaning there vehicle). It could be a great weekend with some groups riding trails during the day and hanging around a campfire at night. If this sounds interesting to anyone please let me know. If anyone has been there before and has any ideas please post them up. It is my favorite place to trail ride and to try things like the rocks is always fun.

That sounds like a great trip, I was stationed up at KI Sawyer, it’s an amazing part of the country.

I'm in. I went up there a few years ago with a Cherokee, before I bought my Bronco. Loved it. We've been wanting to go back. Had a fun time at Turtle Ridge Off Road Park.

June is not far off now. Is anyone else interested in a great weekend of trail riding on the best (legal) trails in Michigan?
