Explorer serp question

Hey guys

Im starting the explorer front dress install and have a quick question.was i supposedbto grab the washer off the explorer motor for the lower gear? The stock one hits the cover? If so can i get that at napa or is a junkyard trip in my future

You don't need that oil slinger. Just dab a little RTV around the inside of the balancer snout before you install it.
