Hey guys, been a while since I posted any building action on the crawler. Since I built it in 09, it's been an awesome wheeling rig. Since rolling it at OCBR this year, I have a perfect opportunity to make some changes. We had an addition to the family in 2011 and family wheeling trips have suffered so I need to add a seat to the rear. We originally built it as a three seater before our daughter was a blip on the radar. Plan is to cut all the tubs and shock mounts out of the rear and re-tube to accommodate a double seat. At the same time, I'll rebuild the rear and relocate the rear shocks further back and more upright, lower the rig 4 inches in the rear and 2 inches in front to lower COG. Skin the rear of the cage with 1/4" aluminum like the front, and make a few different changes that are overdue. I also want to have a soft top made for fall and winter trips. I'll try to post pics as I can. I still enjoy reading everyone's posts and build threads. I love this Bronco community and seeing all the new members.

So I've cut out the tubs and shock mounts. Seat is on the way. I bought a corbeau bench. Prices for rear seats are all over the board but I've sat in corbeau seats and felt pretty comfy so I figured the kids would be good with it.

Some progress pics of the stretch from 105" to 111" wheelbase. Plenty of room for the rear seat now. Cut out the rear tubs and the rear quarters some and fabbed some new fillers for behind the doors.
