hi everyone, i'm doing a 4x4x2 power steering box conversion on my 19 ford bronco. i took the pitman arm shaft out and pulled the first seal, but was stuck on the 2nd one and had a shop pull it. i got the following reseal kit:http://www.carid.com/1979-ford-bronco-steering-boxes/edelmann-steering-gear-seal-kit-22354413.html
and the pitman arm shaft seals seem to be different and the instructions are useless. can anyone help me figure this one out?, i really dont want to put these in, in the wrong order and have to get a new kit,
thanks,
matt

On the Saginaw boxes there is a single lip seal and a double lip seal. The single goes in first with the open lip (spring side) to the inside. Then there is a spacer washer and the double lip seal followed by another washer and the snap ring. I would be surprised if the Ford boxes were different.

there are only four components that i can fit in the hole there is a machined spacer washer with thin walls, a non machined spacer washer with thick walls and no sharp edges, a double lip seal with the spring, and a seal coated metal washer that is bare metal on one side and has a lip that that sticks up on the inside perimeter of the opposite rubber side, if i remember right the instructions shows there being a difference between the ford box for the 4x4x2 conversion and the earlier saginaw type boxs, thanks for trying to help viperwolf1, this is a oddly specific question%)
