Great price, but dang there’s always a catch.... but if you’ve got a trail-only rig it’s a heck of a deal.

“Emissions
This part is legal for sale or use on Racing Use Only Vehicles
The following vehicles are considered Racing Use Only Vehicles:
Racing Use Only Vehicles are vehicles that are used exclusively for competition that are not registered and that may never be used on the street.
See Emissions Details”

Of coarse my stuff is all smog compliant but many of the aftermarket engine/exhaust components you buy from places like summit come with the same disclaimer. If it's a concern companies like edelbrock pay the ransom for the carb stickers so you can buy the identical part for $3-400 more but they're smog compliant

Does anyone make long tube's for EB's that are smog approved?
They also have a EFI fuel pump that is a darn good price.

Great price!!! Just about everything you buy has that disclaimer. Our Broncos have no smog requirements in many states. Unless your running efi and require an O2 then this warning would be NA.

Thanks for posting this! ordered

Same. I couldn't pass up the price, even though my exh is set up for headers where collector is level with the ground.
The headers I had are old and rusty anyway. I will have to do minor mods for exh.

I don't live in a smog-controlled area, and haven't as long as I've been driving. So, I'm curious, if you take your vehicle to the smog inspection station and pass the emissions test, how do they know if your headers or in-tank fuel pump is "Smog Compliant" or not? Do you have to supply receipts? Obviously if you don't have a catalytic converter or EGR parts, they will know, and you wouldn't pass anyway. I'm just curious how they would know this.

First, they would question it visually. But frankly in most areas, at least around here, headers are not an automatic fail just because they are there.
They’re only a fail if they “disable or remove existing emissions, control equipment“ or otherwise mess up things like air pumps, and such.
Which, in most of our cases they do not, since the air pumps did not always dump into the exhaust manifold.
If they did, then headers that are not equipped with the ports for air injection would be an automatic fail.

For example, our shorty headers have a CARB E.O. exemption. However, that’s only good in cases where they don’t disable the Thermactor air injection system.

As a retired military vet, I lived in over 12 states during my service. In nearly every one I owned a classic car or truck. Over 25 years old was the normal standard for classic. Some states had smog inspections and some did not. However, no state including those with inspections ever questioned my vintage car for any smog. I had headers on many, had removed smog pumps and egr devises, and there was always a waiver or exemption for vintage cars. I’m sure this is not the case in every state, but it is likely that most states have accommodations for vintage cars and trucks. Our Broncos are over 50 years old…I would not be overly concerned until you check the details of your state. In Texas, even though cars and trucks require a yearly inspection, it is mainly a safety check, not a drivetrain check. They also offer any vehicle over 25 years old antique plates and no inspection required. Check your state details.

The description says fits 66-74 Bronco. I have a hard time believing that they wont work on a 75. What do you think?

They should fit any 302. I’m putting them on a new Blueprint 302. Bronco engine bays are all the same. Can’t see why they would not fit just fine.

I'm going to go ahead and order a set for my 75. Hopefully there are no issues. Thanks for your input.

A ‘75 was one of the years that had air injection into the exhaust manifold, I believe.
That would be one reason for them to not list it.
Another traditional reason even back when vehicles were still being manufactured, was, if they had not literally tried it on a vehicle they would not put it in their listings.
They never used just assumption or theory when they could avoid it. Saved a lot of grief and returns over time.

It's probably the emission thing. EPA went nuts the last couple years. Many "sellers" panicky now.
Also, what was the first year of a cat on an EB, 74?
