Yep, lots of little tweaks that can be made to these things to make them work better.
Glad you got yours dialed in better. Before you found yourself eating hood someday on the freeway!
Been a few here that have experienced that. And no thanks!

Hmm, were you talking about a stock steel hood and the corner bumpers? Or do you have a fiberglass or steel hood and are using the actual hood pins that hold it closed?

Haven't road tested the adjustment yet, but the click at closing is much more definitive. Luckily, the safety latch works perfectly! Damn thing popped 4 times on me in a short drive today. Still working those bugs out!

It's a stock steel hood btw.

Cool. Yeah, the normal procedure is to adjust the corner tabs up to the point they hold the hood so that the hood line is equal to the fender edges. Then you adjust the center latch pin (http://www.wildhorses4x4.com/product/Hood_Pin_Spring_Assembly/Hoods) so that it latches just right (like you have it now) with the corners sitting pretty.

Mine is low right now because I can't turn the old rusted center pin yet. Been soaking it for weeks but it's hard to get a good grip on it with any of my normal tools. Going to have to get creative I think. A big flat-blade screwdriver is just not cutting it at the moment.

Good luck.
