LED Instrument bulb replacements

I'm about to install a rebuilt instrument cluster in my '71. I want to change the bulbs over to LED. I see that several of the vendors supply kits. I have one question. The original bulbs were all white and the factory used colored plastic (??) to provide the color for the green turn indicators and blue hi-beam indicator. Some of the kits have colored bulbs instead of all white. My question is should I get all white bulbs and use the colored plastic from the factory, or, should I get the colored bulbs and still use the colored plastic, or, should I get the colored bulbs and remove (somehow) the colored plastic? Has someone played with this who can advise me? Thanks.

Used all white bulbs and they work great. You will really notice the difference, so much easier to see your gauges. One of those "why didn't I do this sooner" upgrades.

I just swapped my stock bulbs for the "all white" LEDs and they look great. I believe mine came from TBP.

Use the color LED bulbs and don't remove the color lenses.

The color lenses filter out all the other colors from white light which will give less light.
