Getting close!!

I had one of my tranny cooler mounted there yrs ago. I pulled cool air in from below. My .02, make sure you put a skid plate to protect it someday... b4 you need it.

Great to hear simple pan reconfiguration will solve those clearance issues! Steve's done this b4 and is a great willing resource! :)

Great build, fun to watch your progress.

Got my Tom Woods rear driveshaft ordered today.

along with my SIKKY cold air intake. This weekend I hope to re-install the oil pan, rear gas tank, and finish out the shroud/fan setup on the trans oil cooler. Here's a close up of the weld quality on my pan. I now have 4" of clearance at the pinch point, which was only about 3/4" of the length from the corner of the pan. After that pinch point, it opens up quickly due to the curve of the front diff. My bump stop has 3.5" of clearance, on new bump stops. If I make enough progress, I might complete fluid fill and crank it.

Nice work on that pan. Sealed mine up a few days ago hoping I won't have to change it due to higher lift and the offset of my diff. Fingers crossed. Hope you get to fire yours up soon!

Tank back in with plenty of clearance. I used 4x3” angle iron. I could gave created more clearance if I’d gone 5”. This modification was actually easier to install than their original design.

More pan mods needed.

I put it back in and I wasn’t happy with the corner tip. So I’m cutting more off. The pan has a wing on each side for extra oil capacity. I’m eliminating the wing on one side.

Didn’t get to start the engine this weekend, but accomplished a lot. Completed the driver’s side coil pack and spark plug wires. I worked on the passenger side but I want to make final wire cuts once the heater hoses are complete. I’ve got a couple brackets being fab’d then I’ll button that up.
