Anyone out there know a good source for springs and weights for the ford points style distributor. Looking to do a slight recurve for my new engine but everything G out there appears for GM HEI and duraspark.

Thank you!

Yes found the 31042 kit and instructions on summit but listed as unavailable. This is Delco kit. Nothing comes up for ford.

The springs and weights are the same as the Duraspark parts. In fact the weights are all the same. If you want to change the advance curve the springs and the limiting slots are all you need to set up. Cranes adjustable vacuum advance kit comes with a good selection of springs and instructions on how to set up the best advance curve for Ford Windsor small blocks. The vacuum advance with the kit needs the arm that's made for Duraspark to be bent slightly to work on points type distributors. This; https://www.summitracing.com/search/brand/mr-gasket/part-type/distributor-advan Mr. Gasket kit is only 6 bucks and has the lighter springs. This article explains the process for Ford small blocks;http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2000/03/timing/index.shtml

Thanks for confirming the duraspark will work. Looking to delay mech advance a little its coming in right off idle and causing part throttle detonation.
