Motor plate mod?

Can a standard shift motor plate ,be cut (for access) for T C bolts and weld tabs on it with nuts...for an accsess cover???

I suppose you could. The bolt holes on the lower half won't match the bellhousing but you might be able to drill new ones. Starter should go in the same position as long as both used the same tooth count on flexplate/flywheel.

It can be modified (I did because I'm cheap and like to build/fab stuff) but they aren't that expensive. All of the vendors have them.
