BRONCO SCRIPT FAIRLEAD For safe operation of your Synthetic Winch Rope, these fairleads are machined from billet aluminum, are extremely light weight, and maintain a smooth machined surface.

Why run an Aluminum fairlead over a steel one? Steel hawse fairleads have a coarse finish and will tear up synthetic rope, while roller fairleads will pinch and break the rope.

Can I run one of these with steel winch cable? I don't like how far my roller fairlead sticks out.

Running a steel line would mar up the machined aluminum surface when you bind againts it. But it wouldn't damage your steel line.

10" center to center on the bolt holes

The Fairlead is 3/4" thick reducing the approach angle by 3" from a roller style fairlead.
