Can I put the disc brake set up from a Dana 44 onto a Dana 30. I am sure that I can't but need confirmation.

Tom, if it's a chevy conversion you can, if it's a Ford disk setup you cannot. The chevy conversion has the spindle with with narrow bolt pattern.

This Dana 44 has the differential on the passenger side. PO switched all the engine and drive train to GM parts. How can I tell if it’s a Chevy?

Those are probably dodge, could be Jeep or scout too though. But in theory it will bolt right up. Might have to grind the knuckles a bit for the caliper to clear.

No dumb questions just dumb answers.
