planning to do some 4 wheelin soon. i've got a 302v8 with a 2brl edelbrock carb. have heard that the off-road float kits are cheap (10-15$) and well worth it. don't want to change carbs, just make some minor modifications for off roading. anyone know where i can find one of these kits? thanks.

The stock 2 bbl is a great carbto wheel with . Geta fuel pressure regulator and put it in-line on your fuel line. Adjust it down from 5psi when running on the street to 2psi when wheeling. It made a world of difference on mine on the trail. Before..I had a hard time getting it restarted if it stalled when it died. Now it starts right bac up on a 45 deg incline. Usually theyu are like 19.00 and up. I got mine at Auto Zone for 19.00. Hope thathelps. Not sure about the off roadcarb kit. Sorry

ok thanks. i'm definitely going to buy the regulator. i'm having a hell of a time starting the bronco. occasionally, it cranks but won't fire - and there is often a gassy smell. it may have something to do with the inclines; for example, i parked yesterday at the beach on an incline with the nose up. had a hard time starting back up after a couple of hours. with the nose down, i usually don't have problem. it stalled last night on the way home - ran out of gas - after refill, i couldn't ger her started and needed a AAA tow. so, you are recommending 5psi on the road and 2 psi on the trail?
