PO put a shorter dipstick in and it has no markings on it to guide me on the oil level. I assume I just need on for a 302, or does it make a difference? I just want to be able to look at it and know if I have enough oil or not without guessing.
I got one from a junk yard (to get a late model OEM stick), drained the oil in the bronco, cut the stick to length and marked it after adding oil to one quart low and starting it, then added the quart and marked it for full.
if a fill up of 5qts dosnt get to the stick you can get another stick and cut yours and weld a piece of the new one to to the top or middle of what you have
