I have a mid 80's 351W that I want to put in my 70. Looked up an oil pump for a 1970 302, and a 1985 351w, Sure there are two dif part numbers, but is there any real difference?

does the 351 pump more, have a longer pickup or what?

I'm fairly certain the 351's use a larger pump drive shaft than the 302 pumps. And yes the pickups would be differnt also but those usually go with the oil pans.

pumps don't inter change.pump drive on 351 is biger.351 is like 3/8".302 is 5/16.
Yep, true story. And FYI if you're using the conversion pan that all of the Bronco parts vendors sell, only thing that will fit is a stock replacement pump.....no room for a high volume pump-------Hans

:p:p:pIf you want to run a H/V pump go with a milling H/V and get it for a van as the bottom is put on with machine screws and not bolts clears the pan. Good luck and have fun.:D:D:D Bill %);D I have been running mine since 86 no problems.
