Power Steering and Fuel Hoses Conflict

I recently installed a Saginaw power steering pump and now my the fuel line from my fuel pump to carburetor is contacting the high pressure power steering pump hose. I am worried the power steering hose will get hot and cause and issue. In addition, having the hose touch with constant vibration when the engine is running will prematurely wear the hoses out.

I was going to install a 90 out of the fuel pump to create some space between the hoses.

Thoughts?

Heat won’t be an issue, steering gets that hot you have bigger issues . Hose will dry rot and fall off before it wears a hole in it from contacting the fuel line. Or as Justin said replace with a longer hose and any doubt of issue is gone.

You say vibration, all the parts you show are all one unit and move together. Not really going to be any vibration wear issues. The hose will die of old age before that becomes an issue. Rubber hose is a fairly decent insulator of heat, and that tiny contact spot won't deliver enough heat to ever matter. Heat is way more of an issue on the suction side of the pump than it is on the pressure side.

What can be done? Remove the pressurized rubber hose and install a metal hard line. It will last forever, or really close to it. Longer hose. Change pump outlet with a 45 or 90° street elbow to angle the hose better. Zip tie the two together, can't move at that point. Just ignore it and when you change something else address it at that time.
