a few years ago i busted a rocker arm and changed them all with roller tip arms.the guy at the shop said said they are better and reduce stress on the valves.shorlty after the bronco sat for a few years now its back on the road i notice at start up i sounds like i have noisy lifters until it get up to operating temp.i dont remember them being noisy before.the shop that builds my friends drag racing engine said they are no good and use alum valve covers, alum absorbs some sound,i use amsoil 10w-40 with zinc and yes the valves are adjusted correctly.

I dont notice any exrta sound from mine. I run aluminum heads with steel valve covers. Really there's no reason for them to make more noise as a lot of them are made out of aluminum in the first place.
Most likely its a lifter or valve lash issue. You could have some sticking lifters since it sat awhile or valve lash as increased a little over time and just goes away once things are warmed up.

my full rollers are quite loud, sounds like a sewing maching at idle. had a go pro in moab this year on the windshield and you can hear my rollers on the camera footage.

Sounds like one or more of your lifters lost their charge to me. After running/ warming up a bit they get pumped up with oil again and noise goes away.

I had noisy lifters after assembly and suspected the roller tip rockers. I feel like I had done a good adjustment during assembly. So... I did a running adjustment (pretty messy) and found a couple loose valves. It's a lot quieter now.
